Get into…Food Coma gameplay
The aim is to shop for ingredients to make meals. You have the choice of choosing between the grocery store, the farmer’s market, or butcher shop. Each shop allows you to select a different amount of cards. Some shops offer special advantages for example ingredients, or special ‘Star Fruit’ cards. You will make a given meals based on the menu and feed other players. The idea being that you feed your opponents before they feed you. Once you reach your calorie limit then you have one final chance to stay in the fame. Eat one more meal and you are out of the game. Once all the players have been eliminated then the last person standing is the winner. Can you create the ultimate food coma burger which is unblockable by other players by using all 5 ingredient types?

The game components are produced in such a fun whimsical way guaranteed to have your group immersed in the world of a cafe. The little menus look so cool on the table – American diner style. The artwork is fun loving and each character has their own board with their own ability which adds to the fun of the game. Calorie trackers which are little wooden food tokens add to the aesthetics of the game. Taglines and little puns all add to the overall feel of the game.

This game is a fun one to bring out as a little filler between bigger games. It is fun and evokes a sense of urgency to create your meals and feed them to others before your opponents can make their meals. Do you hold off and build the ultimate Food Coma burger which is unblockable or quietly chip away at your opponents calories by feeding them smaller meals. I really like the way it looks on the table and the artwork adds to the fun loving nature of this game. We have also seen the deluxe version of this game and it looks really cool – not that you need it because the standard version is good enough in its own right but its there for those who want to bling up their game a little bit. If you are looking for something that is fun that doesn’t take itself too seriously then this is the game for you.
